The Chatsworth informal traders co-operative to gather with SEDA conducted a registration drive for small and micro enterprises to benefit from the SETA blended Training and grant program on Thursday the 19th of July 2023. SEDA in partnership with the Wholesale and Retail SETA is embarking on a program to support Spaza Shops, General Dealers and Tuckshops.

These businesses will receive training on Inventory Management (max 3 days) and subsequently provided with trading stock to the value of +/- R6,500.please note the SEDA has confirmed that method of payment could possibly be in the form of cash vouchers.

The Criteria for participating in this program are as following :

1.Must be a South African Citizen.
2.Operating a Spaza Shop/ Tuck Shop / General Dealer (legally).
3.Business must be registered with CIPC.

The CHATSWORTH INFORMAL TRADERS CO-OPERATIVE has been assisting with the compilation of a data bass enlisting qualifying. Registered Traders,spaza shops,Tuck shops and general dealer's in our locality.. Seda will contact traders and advise them of dates, venues and time of the program.

Attending Training on Inventory Management is mandatory to receive the grant. Small Business owners will have to attend a three day training course on how to manage their inventory; Trading Stock. After completion of training, participating traders will be issued with a voucher for trading stock to the value of +/- R6,500.

Please note the current program will run from July to August 2023 Only verified register micro enterprise's will allegable for the program.

The Small Enterprise Development Agency together with the Chatsworth informal traders co-operative  recently held a productive small and micro business  presentation. Those who attended were informed of the many initiative’s and programs SEDA has in place to assist their businesses and how to access them. Like the current program running from July to August 2023, SEDA in partnership with the
Wholesale and Retail SETA is embarking on a program to support Spaza Shops,
General Dealers and Tuckshops. These businesses will receive training on
Inventory Management (max 3 days) and subsequently provided with trading stock
to the value of +/- R6,500.

Chatsworth Informal Traders Co-operative embarks on charity drive

Leadership and members of the CITC handing over gifts to the officials of Cheshire Home.

Some of the items donated by the CITC members and the public included rice, sugar, various lentils, peanut butter, Milo, Knorr soup, vegetables, fruit, pastas and maize meal.

Youth Launch Project

The CDI is calling for applications from businesses for a new round of its Youth LaunchPad project, a unique programme that places interns in SMMEs in the creative industries to support increased capacity and pave for the way for new job creation.
